Beth Fuegy SI, LMT KMI Structural Integration

Welcome everyone,

My name is Beth Fuegy. I am a Structural Integration Practitioner and Massage Therapist working in Portland, OR, and a graduate of Kinesis Myofascial Integration and East West College of the Healing Arts.

My focus in massage has been how the body works and how to help it work better through massage. I specialize in Deep Tissue Bodywork, Trigger Point Therapy and Structural work to help people release pain, stress and tension. Whether the issue is a specific injury or general relaxation, my goal is to improve each client’s well being.

These interests led me to Structural Intregration, a type of hands on work that re-organizes the bodies' fascial connections (connective tissue) to create more aligned posture, reduce pain and more ease through out the body. Structural Integration (SI) is not massage. The similarities are that we work manually, hands on the body, and it is generally done on a massage table. We also ave a set number of sessions. In massage people come back once every two weeks, month, 3 months. In SI we have a set number of sessions and then let you and your body do the rest of the work. The fascial work we do continues to work in your body even when we are not in a session and for 6 months to a year after your series of sessions has ended. I have experienced great changes in my own body from this work and look forward to my work with you as you experience your series.

I work out of The Spa Upstairs, above Vis a Vis Salon. You can also visit the spa website at TheSpaUpstairs.com.
